In Praise of Shadows is an architecture studio founded by Katarina Lundeberg and Fredric Benesch, based in Stockholm. With a strong interest in developing architectural ideas linked with materiality, structure and site, the projects learn from local traditions and use of materials to construct a contemporary approach to architecture, typology and modes of production. Building technology and the way a building is constructed is fundamental to the expression and the experience of our projects.
Fredric and Katarina have been teaching at the KTH School of Architecture. Our commissions range from public buildings, housing projects, private homes to exhibition and interior design.
